With the summer months just around the corner, parents need to start thinking about what’s going to happen with the children this summer. There are some fairly unique situations that present themselves in the warmer months. Making plans for this right now can help you out tremendously.
Two of the biggest decisions you will have to make include where the child will spend the summer and how vacations will be handled. Since most schools aren’t in session all year long, many parents are going to be looking for things to keep their children busy. Some parents will need supervision for their kids all summer.
We know that you might think that you have plenty of time left to think about these matters, but there isn’t that much time before summer break from school will start. The last thing that you need is for the last day of school to creep up on you and coming to the realization that you don’t have anyone to watch the children.
When you have a child custody agreement, you have to consult your ex to find out what is going to happen for the summer. Ideally, you can sit down with your ex and come up with a visitation schedule so both parents can spend time with the children. If you are going to take a vacation, this should be included in the schedule for the summer months.
